Ciklum Founder & CEO
As founder and chief executive officer, Torben Majgaard has built Ciklum into one of the largest IT companies in Ukraine and Eastern Europe and is still the majority shareholder. He brings 20 years of experience working in Eastern Europe and 30 years of IT expertise.
Under Torben’s leadership, Ciklum has been named by Gartner Inc. as a ‘Cool Vendor’ in its ‘Cool Vendors in Application Services, 2013’ report as well as a winner of Red Herring 100 Europe 2009 (an award given to the Top 100 private technology companies based in the EMEA region each year), recognized as CeBIT 2010 Top 20 innovative company delivering services/products for small and medium sized companies, and named the 2010, 2011 and 2012 Top 100 Global Services Provider.
Apart from Ciklum, Mr. Majgaard is also the founder and majority shareholder of Adquota, a mobile advertising company currently employing 70+ people, and an angel investor in 10+ companies. Previously, 1994 – 2002 Mr. Majgaard also founded and sold a number of companies in the IT sphere mainly in Scandinavia and Eastern Europe.
Mr. Majgaard is the founder of and a Supervisory Board Member of the “Brain Basket Foundation”, a joint initiative with the Ukrainian government to help the development of the IT sector in Ukraine.
Following a successful career in chemical research, during which he published several scientific papers and was granted a number of patent applications, Sam moved into the IT industry in early 1990. He has since then held international board level positions in both client and supplier organizations. His appointment as CIO for East Midlands Electricity (now E.ON Energy) was his prelude to working in the IT services sector. Sam has had executive leadership roles for Perot Systems, SAIC, Oracle, EDS, Unisys and Deutsche Telekom Group, working across Europe, Africa, the Americas and Australasia prior to joining Ciklum.
His broad management experience includes a track record of growing and restructuring diverse businesses within consulting services, IT applications, infrastructure services, and process outsourcing, with an emphasis on ensuring sustainable performance and structured staff development programs.
Sam holds an honors degree in chemistry, MS, and a PhD in polymer science.
Mark brings over 20 years of experience in Finance and Operations at high growth and technology companies.
Prior to his tenure at Ciklum as CFO, Mark has served in executive roles at such telecommunication companies as Volia Limited and MTS Ukraine. As CFO and deputy president at MTS Ukraine, Mark built up the company’s finance organization and helped guide strategy and development.
Mark has also held various executive roles in Utel in Ukraine and GTS and Golden Telecom in Russia. Earlier in his career, he also advised the Ministry of Telecommunications of Ukraine on regulatory issues, including tariffs and sector restructuring. Mr. Burden is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
Head of Organizational Development & IHR
Marina has 15 years of experience in HR. Since joining Ciklum in 2009, she has helped to grow the number of employees from 90 to over 2500 and built a strong team of HR professionals. Marina has great dedication and through her efforts Ciklum has earned a reputation of the best place to work and grow, with distinctive identity and culture.
Today Marina focuses on Ciklum’s OD, driving the required organizational change, to ensure alignment and engagement across Ciklum at all levels. She is also responsible for our corporate social responsibility activities, loyalty and education programs.
Before joining Ciklum, Marina worked in EMC/Documentum and Terralink, companies, she has diplomas in Mathematics and Psychology from Voronezh State University in Russia, as well as a Master’s degree in Mathematics and Statistics from UMASS, Amherst, USA.
Global Engagement Director
As Ciklum’s Global Engagement Director, Peter has successfully integrated companies in both domestic and international markets using his more than 13 years of experience in outsourcing as his guide. He has achieved more than $5 billion in contract wins across most continents, covering many industry sectors, and all major IT service lines.
Prior to Ciklum, Peter served in a series of executive positions at both Hewlett-Packard and T-Systems. His experience as the managing director for Cloud Praecedo Limited fit him with exceptional command of strategizing, consulting, and evaluation services, which he now pairs with managerial excellence to consistently deliver business development solutions at Ciklum. In 1998 Row was the recipient of the Comdex Award for Innovation in Object Orientation on an Enterprise Scale.
With his vast experience and innovative flair, Peter Row has undoubtedly positioned himself as a thought leader in the IT industry.
Head of Delivery Unit Services
Anna was educated in Ukraine and England . She has 11 years of professional experience , and has been with Ciklum for nine years.
She is currently the Head of Delivery Unit Services and is responsible for strategic development and implementation of entire service packages for all ODC clients and their extended teams.
Anna’s responsibilities focus on recruitment, employee engagement, and learning and development programs for clients’ teams, as well as PR activities and running point for numerous clients.
Anna’s team provides services that are committed to enhancing team productivity and client- employee relations.
Anna is a key strategist in making Ciklum a reliable, strategic and professional partner that has a passion for people and technology.
Christian Aaen brings more than 15 years of solid experience in business analytics, consulting and program management to Ciklum. As CTO, Christian is responsible for the development and go-to-market strategy of value-added technology, agile governance and consulting services, as well as management and quality assurance of the company’s services delivery. Before joining Ciklum, he worked as Client Service Director at Agillic, where he was responsible for the development and implementation of SaaS marketing automation solutions in EMEA. Prior to that, Aaen was responsible for establishing Agillic’s offshore development center in Ukraine. His strong consulting skills were acquired by working in various client-facing roles at Wunderman Denmark and through the analytical skills he developed while working as investment analyst at Siemens Venture Capital in Germany.
During his career, Aaen has worked with global brands within the media, technology, finance and telecom sectors. Aaen holds a degree in global business engineering from Copenhagen University College of Engineering, advanced course diplomas in e-business and innovation from the IT University of Copenhagen, and is a certified scaled agile framework program consultant (SPC).
Legal Counsel in Ciklum Group
Anna is a Ukrainian lawyer educated in both Ukraine and the United States, who has practiced law for 9 years with global law firms in Ukraine, serving mostly multinational corporations. Ms. Ryzhova received an LLM from the University of Pittsburgh, and gained valuable experience practicing law with a firm in Washington, DC.
She returned to Kyiv in 2004, joining the Ukraine offices of US firm Chadbourne & Parke. In 2007 Anna joined the international law firm CMS Cameron McKenna in the corporate department. Over the course of the past 9 years, Anna has developed expertise in the negotiation of complex corporate and commercial contracts, M&A (including the IT and telecom sectors), regulatory issues (including merger control execution), and securities and capital markets.
Ms. Ryzhova has also acted for clients in the areas of private equity, power generation, banking, insurance and hotel management and franchising.
Chief Revenue Officer
In the role of Ciklum’s Chief Revenue Officer, as part of the Executive Team in Ciklum, Craig is responsible for providing leadership for the overall strategy of the company’s commercial activities. At Ciklum, Craig is responsible for integration and alignment between all revenue-related functions, including worldwide revenue growth across all channels, segments, and industries.
Craig brings over 20 years of international sales and channel leadership experience to Ciklum. He has previously held leadership roles driving business and commercial development for Ciklum for UK, US and EMEA markets. Craig Wilson is a seasoned executive having previously owned and directed businesses in the Technology sector in South Africa as well as driving revenue throughout his career.
Craig also has a vast experience in building and directing client acquisition and retention teams in the technology sector, defining and executing GTM strategies for fast growing businesses in the technology space. He is an experienced professional with an eye for creating and building deals for clients worldwide. Proven track record of driving revenue and growth on a Global stage.
