Ciklum Consulting for Agnitio: Workshop on how to run projects with Scrum

Agnitio’s Ukrainian development team had reached a level of maturity, where it made a strategic sense for us to start delegating more responsibility to our Ukrainian employees.

Working with Ciklum Services and Consulting (CSC) we decided on Scrum as the ideal process tool to support such a move. Agnitio enlisted the services of CSC to hold a 2-day Scrum training workshop, during which both our Ukrainian team and I have participated.

The training focused on establishing a shared vocabulary and toolbox for Scrum, making sure that everyone regardless of prior knowledge of Scrum was on the same page. It was especially important to Agnitio that the training also focused on why Scrum is the right methodology for our software development lifecycle, and the CSC consultant in charge of the training was very clear on this: Scrum is about business and meeting business requirements and goals.

The training formed an excellent basis for our continued drive to improve our development lifecycle. Agnitio’s Ukrainian development team is now successfully through their first sprints, they have much greater autonomy, and they are realizing their velocity - all results that directly support Agnitio’s strategy and vision.
