International Conference “Investor Day Central and Eastern Europe 2011: Internet Technologies & Innovations” (IDCEE 2011) will take place on October 25-26, 2011 in Kiev, Ukraine. This year the Conference will be held at the exhibition hall "ACCO International". About 2,000 participants from Central and Eastern Europe, United States and Canada are expected to attend the event.
The main goal of IDCEE 2011 is to bring together ideas and insights of leading experts and start-up entrepreneurs with expertise and experience of investors and business-angels, as well as organization of keynote speaker presentations, panel discussions, startup competition, and meetings with prominent world experts.
The Conference is one of its kind in Ukraine and has become a must-attend annual event for leaders and innovators in the sphere of web-related technologies throughout Central and Eastern Europe.
The information partners of IDCEE are the leading world internet media, which cover high technology field, such as East-West Digital News, Mashable, TechCrunch Europe, Thefunded.com, TheNextWeb etc.
In 2011, the participants of IDCEE will have the opportunity to listen to such prominent speakers as Esther Dyson (some of her past direct IT investments include Flickr, Del.icio.us, BrightMail, Medstory and Orbitz), Florian Schweitzer (co-founder of BrainsToVentures AG), David Waroquier (the representative of Mangrove fund), Jose Marin (the Founding Partner and Managing Director of IG Expansion), Stefan Glaenzer (the best angel investor in Europe 2010/2011 according to TechCrunch Europe), and these are not nearly all the speakers, who will share their wisdom with the attendees of IDCEE 2011.
The venture funds which have already confirmed their participation in the IDCEE conference include ABRT, B-to-v, Catagonia Capital, EDventure, eVenture Capital Partners, Fast Lane Ventures, Intel Capital, Mangrove Capital Partners, Runa Capital, Russia Partners, Russian Venture Company, Seedcamp microseed fund, TA Venture and others.
IDCEE 2011 will consist of four parts. During the conference the selected start-ups from the CEE region will not only pitch their projects to investors, but will also participate in the start-up competition. Apart from that the conference will be dedicated to keynote speeches by the outstanding experts and visionaries, as well as to panel discussions on hot topics. Also, there will be the opportunity to get the scope of IT Ukraine Association.
During the conference the selected start-ups from the CEE region will pitch their projects to investors. Investors and entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to discuss the projects one-on-one. The most successful start-ups will share the financial consideration of the conference (UAH 100 000) in proportion 60%, 30%, 10%.
Apart from the start-up competition and forum, the conference will include “IT Ukraine” Association, which is represented by the following companies: Ciklum, Eleks, EPAM, GlobalLogic, ISD, Luxoft, Miratech, SoftServe. The objective for establishing this Association was to consolidate software companies’ efforts in promoting competitive Ukrainian products at the world market, unite a scientific, educational and industrial potential of Ukraine to develop the software meeting the highest international standards, as well as create the most favorable conditions for the Ukrainian IT industry further development.
