Ciklum Camp – the new level of Knowledge Sharing Network

On May 27-28 our long awaited Ciklum Camp took place outside Kiev!

In Ciklum we have deep understanding that professional and personal growth is crucial for each our employee. For that purpose we stand for the development & building up Knowledge Sharing Network inside the company among developers and our clients. One of the examples of such a network are Practice Leaders Groups that already met and discussed technological themes. In order to support them & move on the development of Knowledge Network we decided gather Practice Leaders in one place. This place became Ciklum Camp that was held on May 27-28 outside Kiev!
















The aim of the event was to provide an opportunity for Practice Leaders from all Ciklum locations to meet each other, establish contact & agree about concrete further actions within each Practice Group.



First day was devoted to establishing contact & inspirational speeches from Clients representatives, trainers and Ciklum employees. Their key messages “What we can do to follow the changing world?”, “How to keep the fire on”, “What it takes to reach a dream”, “How to inspire others and get followers of your ideas” resonated with every participants’ view on how to make success in their Practice Groups & gather into one Knowledge Sharing community.



It was important that Ciklum clients supported the idea, therefore 15 clients representatives came to Ciklum Camp and took active part in it. Their presence and Ciklum CEO, Torben Majgaard gave this event additional dimension. Because for Practice Leaders that gathered on Ciklum Camp listening & speaking with people who have achieved a lot it was really inspiring & very important. They shared their vision on how to better implement the idea, on how to keep the fire of inspiration, get followers and turn them into raving fans.



Day 2 was devoted to practical threads which were devoted to action plans development within each Practice Group. During that day we established & planned first development steps for new Practice Leaders Groups (Social Media , IT Infrastructure , HR 3.0 , E-Commerce, Toastmasters, and more to come)  besides already existing (Management & Communication, QA, Mobile Technologies, Project Management, Architecture). These new Practice Leaders Groups are going to start in the nearest future. Besides that, on Ciklum Camp an intranet platform created specifically for communication within and among Practice Leaders movement was presented.

Our final goals for Ciklum Camp were building a Network for Knowledge Exchange within Ciklum environment (1000+ employees and 130+ Clients' companies) with the help of intranet. Both goals were reached: more than 130 people registered in intranetplatform by the end of first the day after Ciklum Camp.

On top of everything else these 2 days were full of fun and unforgettable moments: sitting at night by the fire, huge Drum Circle, lot's of smiles and ideas – we will take this with us!

Some of the messages such as: "life is created!", "it takes a heart-beat to change", "DARE!", "baby steps matter" and others turned into real insights and sources of inspiration.
