The Business Challenge

FoshTech was operating two ageing, disconnected sportsbook platforms – one for pre-match betting and another for live betting. This forced every provider integration to be done in 6 months while putting the validation cycle frequency to a quarterly basis. Legacy architecture caused frequent peak-time instability, rejected bets, and lost revenue, while key features like live parlay were unavailable. The business needed a unified platform to cut integration time and deliver clear ROI through faster time-to-market and reduced loss.

Ciklum’s Approach: Engineering the Solution

Ciklum partnered with FoshTech to lead a full sportsbook transformation, replacing fragmented legacy platforms with a unified product and architecture foundation. Starting with Product Discovery, we defined the MVP, aligned stakeholders, and set a scalable roadmap. We then built a single feeds layer and modern betting platform that cut provider integration time by 60% and enabled live parlay launch in month one.

Running Product Discovery

Ciklum began with Product Discovery to assess the fragmented sportsbook landscape, align business and trading stakeholders, define the MVP, and shape a roadmap focused on faster delivery, stronger resilience, and commercial impact.

Building a Unified Feeds Foundation

We created a single integration layer with a unified event ID across providers, eliminating duplicate logic across pre-match and live betting. This reduced provider integration time from around 6 months to 2-3 months.

Modernizing the Sportsbook Platform

Ciklum replaced the legacy stack with a modern sportsbook platform, including a new betting engine, trading tools, and end-to-end workflows. Live parlay launched in month one, generating around $1M revenue and $10M betting volume.

Accelerating Delivery with AI Tooling

We introduced AI-assisted tooling across PRD creation, prototyping, and data processing to reduce manual effort and speed up execution. This cut PRD creation time by around 50% and supported faster roadmap delivery.

Scaling into a Strategic Partner

As the programme expanded, Ciklum scaled delivery capacity from 12 to 40 people and grew from a feeds integration vendor into a strategic owner of product direction and architecture, supporting broader platform rollout.
