The Business Challenge

Growth at eToro wasn’t linear. As the platform expanded to serve a global user base of 40 million users today, the engineering demands across every layer of the business grew: Compliance, Trading infrastructure, Money Movement, Customer Experience, Marketing, and more.

eToro didn’t need a vendor. It needed a long-term engineering extension: teams that could work inside its structure, move at its pace, and stay consistent with the standards expected of a global financial platform. Not for a project. Across domains. Over the years.

Ciklum’s Approach: Engineering the Solution

Ciklum built a dedicated engineering presence in Ukraine. Our engineers work within eToro’s organization. Not as a separate external unit, but contributing alongside an internal R&D organization of 500+ people on shared delivery, standards, and accountability.

How It Works In Practice

Contribution is genuinely mixed. Some integrations – across payment providers, crypto, exchanges, and KYC services – are built entirely by Ciklum engineers. Others are joint efforts with eToro teams. This is a working part of eToro's delivery organization.

Coverage spans compliance, trading, money movement, CX, marketing, support, and the CIO office. The areas where reliability directly affects users and the business. 14 teams contribute across product engineering, SRE, and architecture.

When the war in Ukraine created operational disruption, Ciklum provided local contracts in Poland. Delivery continued. Team members had stability. The engagement didn't need to be rebuilt, it held on strongly.

We track cycle time, velocity, and delivery quality on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Some of our highest-performing teams are managed by Ciklum — delivering faster, at higher quality, and on time. Ultimately, it comes down to trust. We trust each other fully, and that shows in everything we deliver together.
