Our client looked forward to boosting user engagement and upsell conversions during event ticket presales – critical windows when intent is high but purchase timing is restricted. With multiple customer-facing portals, maintaining a consistent and cohesive experience was challenging. The core challenge was to keep users engaged through the waiting period, reduce drop-offs, and reliably convert presale interest into completed purchases across web and mobile experiences.

Ciklum’s Approach: Engineering the Solution
Ciklum implemented a Set Reminder feature that allowed users to follow upcoming events and receive real-time alerts when presale windows opened. The component was implemented across React web, iOS, and Android to ensure consistent behavior across homepage, presales, and mobile surfaces. The React web component handled web experiences, while native iOS and Android surfaces ensured seamless reminder and partner linking.
The solution was built on a serverless-first architecture where Spring Boot microservices powered backend workflows, with Elasticsearch for search and Redis + DynamoDB for fast, durable reminder state management. The platform ran on AWS with CloudWatch for logs and metrics.
Quality and release were managed through Cypress, Selenium, and Cucumber automation, with Google Analytics tracking engagement and conversion.
Deployed across web, iOS, and Android, the feature kept user intent high, increased return visits, and created a seamless path from event discovery to purchase.
