Doxy.me is the world’s leading telemedicine software provider, serving over one million healthcare professionals across 180+ countries. Designed to facilitate remote patient care, the platform offers a seamless, web-based video consultation experience tailored to the unique needs of healthcare providers.

The Business Challenge

Doxy.me’s rapid growth exposed infrastructure inefficiencies, security risks, and compliance challenges. Manual development processes and a lack of automated cloud scalability led to deployment delays, operational bottlenecks, and potential HIPAA violations. To ensure business continuity, security, and regulatory compliance, Doxy.me needed a robust DevSecOps transformation with automated workflows and monitoring.

Ciklum’s Approach: Engineering the Solution

Ciklum partnered with Doxy.me as a DevSecOps and cloud transformation expert to overhaul its technical infrastructure. Our solution focused on automating security, streamlining development workflows, and building a high-availability cloud ecosystem. By leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automated security policies, and continuous deployment strategies, we ensured Doxy.me’s infrastructure remained resilient, compliant, and scalable. This transformation enabled efficient workflows, optimized system performance, and reinforced security while allowing the platform to accommodate growing user demands without compromising stability.

Ciklum designed and implemented AWS infrastructure using Terraform, enabling reusable templates for development, QA, staging, and production environments. This streamlined environment replication, automated provisioning, and ensured high availability across multiple AWS regions.

By leveraging 15+ AWS services, Ciklum optimized cloud resource management, ensuring Doxy.me could scale seamlessly while maintaining performance efficiency. Automated cloud orchestration enhanced system availability and reduced operational overhead.

To meet HIPAA and HITECH requirements, Ciklum implemented automated security policies and compliance validation. Security tools such as OpenVPN-Review, Scout Suite, TFSec, and SonarQube reinforced best practices, ensuring security remained a shared responsibility across teams.

Ciklum developed fully automated CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, allowing for seamless integration and rapid releases. Quality Gates were introduced to detect issues early, while blue-green and canary deployments minimized downtime and deployment risks.

To maintain platform stability, Ciklum integrated AWS CloudWatch for continuous monitoring and analytics. Automated incident response protocols were implemented to identify system vulnerabilities, ensuring quick resolution and enhanced reliability.

Ciklum designed an automated disaster recovery framework, preventing service disruptions and ensuring business continuity. Security drift detection measures were applied to maintain compliance and infrastructure resilience at all times.
