Dacadoo is a Swiss-based globally operating technology company, that develops technology solutions for digital health engagement and health risk quantification, partnering with insurers and health service providers.
In 2010, Dacadoo started developing its mobile-first health engagement platform with its unique, patented Dacadoo Health Score, that enables individuals to track their health and wellbeing in an easy and fun way.
Back then, Dacadoo needed to scale their development team in Switzerland but couldn’t find the right people fast enough. So they decided to start a mixed setup with a remote team.
In 2011, Dacadoo started scaling their development with a front-end team in Kyiv, Ukraine, which has grown to a team of 40 people today.
Ciklum helped with recruiting, onboarding, and the establishment of a great work environment, to grow and maintain the team in the long run.
When Dacadoo needed DevOps experts and back-end developers – but for compliance reasons within the EU – Ciklum enabled them to extend development to Malaga, Spain.
Dacadoo, together with Ciklum, invests a lot in team building and alignment across the three locations, to ensure bonding beyond day-to-day work. To enhance flexibility and speed of delivery, Ciklum organises agile training sessions for the whole Dacadoo team.
Ciklum enabled Dacadoo to scale and to grow from a small startup to the global health platform provider they are today.
When part of Dacadoo’s development was required to be done from within the EU, they could flexibly opt for a second Ciklum location in Malaga, Spain.
Dacadoo licences their platform to the world’s leading life and health insurance operators and covers over 200 million people in 40 countries around the globe.
